L.E.S TIMBER is a Ukrainian woodworking company founded on respect for oak as a natural resource and a deep understanding of the needs of European clients. For over 10 years, we have been supplying kiln-dried oak boards to countries across the European Union and the United Kingdom.
Our Story
It all began with a small sawmill in the Kyiv region, driven by one goal — to work with wood honestly, with respect for nature and the craft. Inspired by the strength of Ukrainian forests and the quality of local oak, we chose not mass production, but a deep understanding of the material.
We observed, learned, and refined our processes — how to saw, dry, and sort the wood properly to preserve its natural structure, stability, and beauty. Over the years, we upgraded our equipment and introduced automated drying chambers, yet we’ve kept one thing unchanged: respect for every log and attention to every detail.
Today, we are a trusted supplier of oak boards for European clients — but our mindset remains the same as in the early days: to work consciously, responsibly, and with heart.
Production Approach and Quality Control
We believe that product quality starts in the forest. That’s why we personally and carefully select the raw oak we use.
Ukrainian oak is valued for its stability, golden tone, and minimal presence of knots. We purchase first and second cut logs with a diameter starting from 30 cm from certified state forestry enterprises in the Kyiv, Cherkasy, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions.
Following timber auctions, our specialists visit the forest to visually inspect and measure each log. We select only the raw material that provides the highest yield of quality oak.
Quality control continues at every stage — monitoring moisture content, board geometry, cut cleanliness, and compliance with the client’s technical specifications. This ensures consistency and trust in every shipment.
